trouble-shoot printing

I've been having trouble getting my transparencies to print out of my inkjet printer. This is extra frustrating because the transparencies are so expensive. After asking everyone I know, I found out the printer needs a certain amount of humidity in the air to gather the transparency from the printer. Instead of going out and buying a humidifier for the night (winter here, super dry apartment), I dabbed a tiny bit of water on the edge of my transparency and VIOLA! It worked!
